This seems like a good starting point because it encourages us to live our lives in a more sustainable way, starting at home. We are not preachy green people, and we believe it is hypocritical to encourage people to make lifestyle changes we wouldn’t ourselves make. It is amazing that we Americans represent only 4% of the world’s population, but emit 23% of the world’s carbon dioxide. Each American is responsible for emitting 20 tons of CO2 into the air each year (10 times what the average Chinese citizen emits). And that’s just the main greenhouse gas.

Don’t get us started on chemicals in our products and food chain. We feel we can save so much by making easy changes in our lifestyle and habits. Most of the decisions we make at "CORE" go through a “Green Filter” to try, as best we can, to make business decisions consistent with our goal to become the change we seek in the world. We’ll post more thoughts on our Blog (on topics like how “sustainable” companies can take concrete actions) where it is easier to get some discussions going around these ideas.
